Jumio sells identity verification to online casinos, social gaming sites and sportsbooks. It reads the date of birth from an ID to confirm age, checks the player's identity, and supports AML checks on location and source of funds.
The same tools target abuse, affiliate fraud and account takeover. Jumio says onboarding drops to seconds. One operator quoted on the site says onboarding now takes half the time it did before.
In the US, the company says it is licensed or otherwise permitted to serve operators in most states where sports betting is legal. It also says its clients include 9 of the 10 largest operators in Europe. Check that Jumio holds the supplier approval for each state you plan to enter.
